How Much Does a GoHighLevel Expert Cost in 2026? Hourly, Monthly and Project Prices

By Arslan Mumtaz, software engineer and GoHighLevel & AI automation specialist

"How much should I pay someone to set up or manage GoHighLevel?" The honest answer is anywhere from $6 to over $100 an hour, depending on who you hire and what you need. This guide breaks down real 2026 price ranges so you can budget properly and avoid paying for the wrong kind of help.

I'm a GoHighLevel developer and software engineer, so I'll also share how I price my own work. But the ranges below are the wider market, so you can compare.

Hourly rates by region

Location is the biggest factor in hourly price. Typical GoHighLevel rates in 2026:

Skill matters as much as location. Advanced GoHighLevel specialists who handle full campaign management and complex builds typically charge around $18–35/hr, even when they're offshore.

The three kinds of GoHighLevel help

1. A GoHighLevel VA (virtual assistant)

Best for day-to-day work: updating contacts and pipelines, fixing small workflow issues, setting up campaigns, and building pages from templates. Usually billed hourly or as a monthly package, typically $600 to $1,800 a month depending on hours and skill level.

2. A GoHighLevel expert or developer

Best when you need a system designed, not just maintained: a full CRM build, a migration from another tool, speed-to-lead or recall automation, or custom integrations. Usually priced per project. The best ones can also write code when GoHighLevel can't do something natively.

3. A GoHighLevel agency

Best for larger businesses that want strategy, ads, content and the CRM handled by one team. Expect agency rates, often several thousand dollars a month.

Typical project prices

For one-off jobs, these are the rough ranges I see across freelancers and small agencies:

Wide ranges, because "set up GoHighLevel" can mean anything from importing contacts to rebuilding a whole sales process.

What drives the price up (or down)

Don't forget the platform costs

Hiring help is separate from what you pay HighLevel itself. In 2026, GoHighLevel plans run from about $97 to $497 a month, plus usage charges for SMS, email, calls and AI. If you text US customers, there are also one-time A2P 10DLC registration fees. I explain those in my A2P 10DLC guide.

How to choose without overpaying

  1. Start with an audit. A paid review of your account tells you exactly what's broken and what's worth automating, before you commit to a big project.
  2. Ask for real examples. Case studies or screenshots of systems they've built tell you far more than a list of skills.
  3. Check how they handle SMS compliance. If they can't explain A2P 10DLC (US) or consent rules (UK, EU, Australia), your messages may never be delivered.
  4. Match the hire to the job. Don't pay agency prices for VA work, and don't expect a $6/hr VA to design your whole sales system.

What I charge

I'm based in Lahore, Pakistan, and work remotely with businesses in the US, UK, Europe and Australia, so my prices sit between offshore VA rates and US or UK experts, while you get a software engineer who can build custom integrations:

All my prices are on the pricing page, and you can see the kind of systems I build in my 13 case studies. If you need ongoing help, start with my GoHighLevel VA plans.
