GoHighLevel vs HubSpot (2026): Features, Real Costs and Which to Choose

GoHighLevel and HubSpot are both called CRMs, but they're built for different businesses. HubSpot is a polished platform for B2B companies with sales and marketing teams. GoHighLevel is an all-in-one system for local service businesses and the agencies that serve them. This comparison covers features, real costs, texting, automation and agencies, so you can pick the one that fits how you actually sell.

HubSpot's prices depend on hubs, seats and contacts and change often; check its pricing page for your numbers. GoHighLevel's are explained in GoHighLevel pricing 2026.

3. Cost: where the difference really shows

For a team of five, GoHighLevel costs the same as for a team of one: the plan includes unlimited users and contacts, and you pay for usage (texts, calls, email) on top. HubSpot starts free or cheap, but its costs rise with every seat, every extra block of marketing contacts and every move to Professional, which also carries a one-off onboarding fee.

A local business that needs a CRM, texting, booking and reviews typically pays $120–$200 a month all in on GoHighLevel. Matching that in HubSpot usually means a paid hub plus separate tools for texting and reviews.

4. Texting, calls and speed to lead

This is GoHighLevel's biggest advantage for service businesses. Two-way SMS, phone numbers, call tracking and missed-call text-back are built in, and leads can get a reply within seconds. In the US this needs A2P 10DLC registration. HubSpot is email-first; texting usually means a higher plan, an add-on or a third-party app, and another bill.

5. Automation

Both have visual workflow builders. HubSpot's is polished and strong for B2B sequences and lead scoring. GoHighLevel's workflows cover the whole service journey: enquiry, booking, reminders, no-show follow-up, reviews, recall and reactivation, across SMS, email, calls and social messages, and they're available on every plan. For examples, see 10 GoHighLevel automations every service business should have.

6. AI features

HubSpot has AI tools for content, prospecting and CRM help. GoHighLevel's AI is aimed at conversations: Conversation AI answers texts and chats and books appointments, Voice AI answers calls, and Agent Studio builds custom agents. Both connect to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT; GoHighLevel through its MCP server.

7. For agencies

GoHighLevel was built for agencies: one agency account, a sub-account per client, snapshots to copy proven setups, white-label branding and SaaS mode to resell it under your name. HubSpot has a strong partner program but no white label, and every client needs their own HubSpot subscription. For most marketing agencies serving local businesses, GoHighLevel is the better business model. More in GoHighLevel for agencies.

8. Where HubSpot is genuinely better

9. Can you use both?

Yes. Some companies keep HubSpot as the sales CRM and use GoHighLevel for texting, booking and reviews, syncing contacts through n8n or Zapier or a custom API integration. Agree which system owns each field so they don't overwrite each other.

10. Switching from HubSpot to GoHighLevel

Export contacts, companies and deals, clean the data, map fields to GoHighLevel custom fields, rebuild workflows (they don't transfer), and run both in parallel for a few weeks. The full process is in how to migrate to GoHighLevel from HubSpot. If you're still comparing other platforms, see GoHighLevel alternatives.

For how the GoHighLevel side is built, see the GoHighLevel CRM guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is HubSpot's free CRM enough instead of GoHighLevel?

For tracking contacts and deals, it can be. It doesn't include business texting, missed-call text-back or the automation most service businesses need, so many outgrow it quickly.

Do GoHighLevel and HubSpot both have mobile apps?

Yes. Both have free mobile apps for contacts, deals and conversations. GoHighLevel's app also handles business texting and calls on your GoHighLevel number.

Does GoHighLevel integrate with HubSpot?

Not natively in most cases, but the two can be connected through Zapier, Make, n8n or their APIs, for example to pass new leads or deal updates between them.
